It has been revealed who will be writing the music to accompany the director's upcoming UFO-themed film.
Cinema fans will be pleased to hear that legendary composer John Williams, now 93, will be returning to compose the music for Steven Spielberg's upcoming movie on the topic of UFOs.
This will in fact be the 30th collaboration between the pair.
Williams, who has composed the highly celebrated soundtracks for films such as
Jaws and
Jurassic Park, will certainly bring an air of quality and familiarity to the new film's score.
The new movie itself, which will star Emily Blunt, has been penned by David Koepp (who worked with Spielberg on
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull).
Previously, it was suggested that it may be entitled
The Dish (although this could still change).
"I am so not allowed to say anything," Koepp recently told
The Wrap, but went on to add - "It's great because it's an original. It was his idea, his story and working on originals is really fun."
Little is known about the actual plot of the movie and while fans are hoping for something along the lines of Spielberg's classic 80s alien-themed blockbusters, right now all we can do is speculate.
The title
The Dish suggests that it might feature a scientist or astronomer (played by Blunt) who receives an alien signal through the titular 'dish', but right now that's just pure guesswork.
It will certainly be interesting to see what Spielberg has come up with when the film releases in 2026.
