The mysterious awakening

It was around 7:15 on a Thursday morning, when I heard the unidentified voice. It was as clear as day and it woke me up out my sleep: “Your dad is gone”. As soon as I heard the voice, I immediately refuted it and got up to get ready for work. I don’t feed into negative energy. I reject it and moved on, as I did that morning. However, I couldn’t stop thinking about it later that morning at work. It was around 10am that same morning when I picked up the phone to check on my dad to see if he was ok. I had just seen him the night before and he seemed fine. He was acting like his usual self. We had dinner and talked outside with his one of his neighbors for about a good half hour. Then I headed home. His last words to me were “Love you. You be good”. To make a long story short, after several unsuccessful attempts of calling him, I found out the next day that he had passed away in his home. The security guard who was working in his apartment complex reported him as “unresponsive”. He was pronounced dead as soon as the corner came shortly after.
My father passed away 2 years ago after his long battle with congested heart failure. In the months preceding his death, I could tell he was sick but he didn’t seem to act much different. Or perhaps he played down his sickness so he wouldn’t worry me. I was very optimistic about him getting better because I’ve heard that people can still live many years with the disease, as long as they make changes in their lifestyle. However, it was too late for my dad. He passed away a few months after he was diagnosed. It shocked the entire family. Especially me. We knew it would happen eventually, but we didn’t know it would happen that soon. Our guess is that he had it for years but didn’t know, or knew about it and never told us.

Two years later, I still think about that voice I heard the day before he died. It was loud, firm, and direct. It still gives me chills. It was like a warning. But it was unexplainable in its nature and origin. One could easily say I was having an auditory hallucination, going crazy… or blame it on hypnagogia. But none of those were the case, because it actually happened: The next day I found out he was gone. I believe the voice was a warning. But from who? Most people would label me crazy if I told them I heard God’s voice. But I may have. Has anyone ever experienced this before before the death of a loved one? Since then, I'm 100% sure the supernatural world is real. This put all my doubts aside.

Very interesting story, Angelaj323. I had a similar experience in the early 90s while traveling in Viet Nam. I awoke one morning feeling that something was terribly wrong back home. Telephones were a luxury in Viet Nam in those days, so I went to a public phone center where I took a number and anxiously waited in line for one of the phone booths to free up. I tried to call my parents, but they didn't have a message machine and no one answered. When I arrived back in the States about 10 days later, I called again and learned that my Dad had been hospitalized with a serious illness. He survived ... [More]

I had some paranormal experiences before, but my husband hasn't experienced any until the 1st week of Feb 2001, when he heard a strong and strict voice tell flatly, ''B' is dead'. He heard it not only once but often.'B' is our 4yr old healthy boy. On 9th Feb 'B' passed away suddenly in a car accident. The voice was not heard any more. So it is not Hallucination. On 5th Feb as I am lying near my boy, I felt an urge to hear his heart beat. So, as I am hearing it, I heard a voice (this is not auditory in nature, but I heard it in my  mind) 'Hear it as long as you wish NOW. You can't hear it after... [More]

Wow. There's just no way stuff like this could be 'sleep paralysis' as seems to be the favorite thought of most. And from a religious point of view, the Bible itself is full of the supernatural..such as 200 beings called 'The sons of God' coming to earth, mating with human woman, and giving birth to the Nephilim, which both Moses and Enoch confirm as true. What the heck is that? We know a lot about the Nephilim, but hardly nothing about those 200 beings that fathered them. What happened to them? Where are they? Or what about the donkey, who saw an Angel in the road in (Numbers 22: 21-39), and ... [More]

I've lived at my current house for 13 years. The very first night I lived here, a woman's voice in my room called out my name loudly and commanding. Scared the you know what outta me. But I've heard the same voice many times over the years. I was starting to buy into the 'sleep paralysis' theory when I stumbled upon the experiences here. I'm convinced that there is some sort of spirit or demonic world in our midst. Or perhaps, we're in their midst. I also think it disguises itself in many, many forms. I also think they are choosy about who they reveal themselves to. There is some particular re... [More]
