Mystery dark line caught on camera

Image Credit: Mike Weight The phenomenon was caught on camera by Mike Weight as he strolled along the beach at around noon on Wednesday. The thin, dark line seemed to stretch from the water all the way up to the clouds. "At first I thought it was an optical illusion because it was like a dark piece of sky with a light sky background," said Mike. "You could see through it."

Puzzled, the 73-year-old sent the picture to the Tampa Bay Times with a note asking what the line could be, however their chief meteorologist didn't know what it was either. The photograph has since been distributed to several agencies but nobody has yet been able to offer a conclusive explanation to what Mike had witnessed. "I think we're all just guessing," he said.
