Shape-shifting robots have become a reality thanks to the creation of this incredible transforming car.
Designed and built by a team of 12 engineers and 4 technicians, this unbelievable shape-shifting robot was constructed out of an ordinary BMW and appears to be the real deal.
Known as the ANTIMON, the vehicle is capable of transforming in to a standing humanoid robot in much the same way as the characters in the popular 'Transformers' animated TV series.
Letvision, the firm behind the invention, is hoping to improve the design by making it possible for the robot to actually walk around as well as to make it drivable while it is in its 'car mode'.
It may even be possible for the public to purchase one however the price has yet to be disclosed.
That's a small step for a bmw, a giant leap for autobots. It's almost a shame that with the level of CG we have today, when you watch a video like this you never know if it's for real or not.
My son-in-law wants to trade his G-8 and 1997 Camaro in on a new Camaro. He should wait a few years and maybe he can get Bumble Bee! His favorite Transformer. Of course when he was young, Bumble Bee was a VW Bug!
I prefer my beamer not to walk away thank you. In all seriousness this is cool but i would be so uncomfortable with these being around or being owned and operated by most anyone. It just sounds dangerous.
