Invisible doorways one step closer

A new theory has been developed that could take us one step closer to invisible doorways such as that on platform 9 and 3/4 from the Harry Potter novels, a portal that blocks electromagnetic waves but allows physical objects to pass through.
Invisible gateways like the one to platform 9 and 3/4 in Harry Potter and to Lewis Carroll's hidden world in Through the Looking Glass are a step closer to reality after scientists developed a new theory.

Cant help but think if they can distort the EM spectrum that much, can they focus EM radiation to a pinpoint? I see a better use for this technology than just covering a hole or as they said in the article "could eventually be cloaking devices" I do have to say though, i want to get my hands on some photonic crystals. They look fun.

They made it sound better than it is by saying it can make portals!! like being transported to another area entirly. It's just an optical illusion that you can hide stuff in. it' a cloaking device nothing near to the portal in harry potter. Forget about Invisible Doorways... Think about invisibility! We sure can achieve invisibility with such technology. Metamaterials can also create such invisible doorways but who cares about having invisible doorways when you can become invisible!

There are great things afoot in the history of mankind and who knows what will emerge over the next three years I make a study of amazing crop circles and even if they are somehow and inexplicably crafted by man, then something somewhere is guiding the minds of those people Truly astounding, mathematically and astronomically knowledgeable, amazingly created, stunningly beautiful I feature some pics on my blog (don't know if I should) that seem to speak to me of the awakening of mankind from a sleep As if our true power, the unfettered power of our minds, has been witheld from us but is about t...
