Invisible doorways one step closer

Cant help but think if they can distort the EM spectrum that much, can they focus EM radiation to a pinpoint? I see a better use for this technology than just covering a hole or as they said in the article "could eventually be cloaking devices" I do have to say though, i want to get my hands on some photonic crystals. Forget about Invisible Doorways... Think about invisibility! We sure can achieve invisibility with such technology. Metamaterials can also create such invisible doorways but who cares about having invisible doorways when you can become invisible!
