The Turin Shroud is expected to attract up to 100 million visitors when it goes on display in Northern Italy this year.
It is a rare thing indeed for the Turin Shroud which is thought to bear the image of Jesus to go on public display, in the last 100 years this will be only the sixth time it has happened.
Over two million visitors are expected to converge on a small chapel in a northern Italian city this spring when the Turin Shroud goes on display for only the sixth time in 100 years. It will be the first time the holy relic, which some believe bears the face of Christ after his crucifixion, has been seen in public since its restoration in 2002.
