Was the Round Table an amphitheatre ?

Historians believe that King Arthur's legendary Round Table was actually the space inside a Roman amphitheatre.
Now historians believe they have uncovered the precise location of Arthur’s stronghold, finally solving the riddle of whether the Round Table really existed. And far from pinpointing a piece of furniture, they claim the ‘table’ was in fact the circular space inside a former Roman amphitheatre.

We could only so far imagine how King Arthur’s Round Table looks like while reading the stories? Wow… and now we can actually see it now as the historians have found the table around which he and his knights sat. Historians claim to have finally located the site of King Arthur’s Round Table — and believe it could have seated 1,000 people. i heard it was a round table because it was put around a firepit inside a tent or mud hut type building.
