One woman's eerie footage of a doll moving on its own has since attracted a lot of attention on social media.
It's one of the eeriest examples of alleged paranormal activity - a doll or puppet that, despite sitting in a room on its own, has somehow managed to start moving without any apparent human intervention.
It's a horror trope that has been used in movies and TV shows for years.
This latest example however is not, at least according to the video uploader, a work of fiction.
It was filmed on August 1st when TikTok user Holly Armstrong noticed that a rather unnerving mannequin sitting on the top shelf of a closet had started to move on its own.
Upon grabbing her phone, she captured footage of its legs seemingly swinging by themselves.
"5 seconds before I jetted out of this house and threw a match behind me," she wrote.
After the footage generated over 1.2 million likes, she posted another video to provide a bit more background information. In it, she claimed she found the doll while house-sitting.
"I felt creepy crawlies just being upstairs by myself," she said. "All that happened is I left afterwards and I notified the family. They're going to further investigate it."
You can check out the original footage for yourself below.
