Woman's 'moving doll' TikTok video goes viral

Did this doll move on its own or is the video a hoax ? Image Credit: TikTok / @hollyarmstrong20
One woman's eerie footage of a doll moving on its own has since attracted a lot of attention on social media.
It's one of the eeriest examples of alleged paranormal activity - a doll or puppet that, despite sitting in a room on its own, has somehow managed to start moving without any apparent human intervention.

It's a horror trope that has been used in movies and TV shows for years.

This latest example however is not, at least according to the video uploader, a work of fiction.

It was filmed on August 1st when TikTok user Holly Armstrong noticed that a rather unnerving mannequin sitting on the top shelf of a closet had started to move on its own.

Upon grabbing her phone, she captured footage of its legs seemingly swinging by themselves.
"5 seconds before I jetted out of this house and threw a match behind me," she wrote.

After the footage generated over 1.2 million likes, she posted another video to provide a bit more background information. In it, she claimed she found the doll while house-sitting.

"I felt creepy crawlies just being upstairs by myself," she said. "All that happened is I left afterwards and I notified the family. They're going to further investigate it."

You can check out the original footage for yourself below.

It's a doll. All dolls are haunted, so it's a haunted doll. Haunted dolls move. Why is this thread even on here?

Disappointing level of detail in the article regarding the doll.  Haven't turn on the Papameter 2.0 in a few days so let's see what the ole boy has to tell us. 50% Paranormal   50% Hoax/Natural Confidence Level:  Very Low   Factor: Been hearing many haunted doll stories lately

Pretty much like all these ghost/paranormal videos, an attention grab.

Why does this deserve any coverage? I once saw a cloud floating in the sky and that would rate as the same as this nonsense.

A doll moving inexplicably would be something I like to see covered.

Get it out and get close and I might still call it fake

I've been expecting stories about phantom coughing to start popping up.

It really speaks to a low level of education when videos such as this dumb video goes viral. This is a video for losers, i.e. those that think this is real. If the doll grabbed someone and then the police reported that the child was missing, then this would be  interesting. This is the sort of video that hows that the world is composed mainly of nincompoops, or should I say dolts, or better yet people who should send me a significant amount of their income since I can save them from these crazy situations.

More important question, why was she looking in someone else's closet?
