Will Trump now declassify America's 'X-Files' ?

With Trump's presidency nearing an end, could now be the ideal time for him to disclose America's UFO files ?
To say that things didn't go according to plan for President Donald Trump in the election would be an understatement, and while his days in the White House may be numbered, some have speculated that one of the things he could do before he goes is declassify sensitive government documents pertaining to the UFO phenomenon.

"Trump is still POTUS," conservative commentator Mike Cernovich wrote on Twitter.

"He can release any information he wants via Twitter. Literally it's legal for him to drop anything - UFO files, Russia stuff, total discretion."

It's an idea that has been doing the rounds on social media today with several people suggesting that now would be a good time for Trump to spill the beans on what the government knows about UFOs.

"Trump needs to go on Rogan and start dropping all the Real X-Files info. UFOs, 911, JFK.....leak it ALL," one Twitter user - @ManuvSteele - wrote yesterday.

"I'd definitely start talking about UFOs and ancient aliens if I was Trump right now," added @Donald_JL00.
Trump has previously spoken several times about the topic - in particular when questioned about it during interviews - but has never confirmed or denied anything specific.

Back in June, he had been participating in a Father's Day-themed interview with his own son, Don Trump Jr., when he was asked about the alleged UFO crash at Roswell, New Mexico.

"There are millions and millions of people who want to go [to Roswell], who want to see it," Trump replied. "I won't talk to you about what I know about it, but it's very interesting."

"Roswell is a very interesting place with a lot people who would like to know what's going on."

When asked if he would ever consider declassifying information on the matter, he replied: "Well, I'll have to think about that one."

Why would the executive branch of government be given complete access? "Denied"? More like they don't have a need to know everything.

1. This presupposes that there is anything to disclose (at least in the context of ET). Now, that being said, without any evidence to back up my suppositions, I do think that the government has some exceptional things being hidden from the public that only a select few are aware of, though I do not think that they are of extraterrestrial origin. I think that these things are highly advanced pieces of technology, though completely terrestrial in origin and highly experimental, and ridiculously expensive. I suspect things like nanotechnology, hologram-based technology, vastly sophisticated AI, m... [More]

Because they are the peoples representative. Who has been given authority to deny them and why? Some unelected offical?

Presidents are elected by the public, correct. The people's representatives lie in the Senate and House of Representatives. Why should one person be authorized to be the sole repository of all sensitive information? Why are they now thought of in terms beyond that of Chief Executive? Chief of State - Acts as the symbolic leader of the country Chief Executive- Executes the laws, appoints key federal officials, grants pardons and reprieves Commander in Chief- Overall leader of the combined armed forces Chief Diplomat- Negotiates with other countries/leaders Chief Legislator- Signs or vetoes legi... Bingo... ding ding ding winner chicken dinner.   I feel 10000 percent trump has been briefed on space force technology which is really impressive btw. But if there is some sort of ufo info- that would be on a compartmentalized ts need to know. And he wouldn’t need to know.

We change presidents every 4 to 8 years.  Regarding this topic they are stonewalled in recent times. Those with the real access to the knowledge (who are unelected members of the MIC) reply to the president the same way every time they inquire.  "That is on a need to know basis Mr President... and you don't need to know."

This comment isnt so far from the truth as one might think. I believe that lots of people around here have a hard time separating fact from fiction.

I would rather have Trump release his taxes.
