UFO shows up during Queen's jubilee celebrations

An unidentified object was picked up on camera during this weekend's celebrations of the platinum jubilee.
As the UK united in celebration of Queen Elizabeth II's 70 years on the throne, eagle-eyed viewers of the jubilee celebrations spotted something unusual in the TV coverage of the event.

The anomalous sighting occurred following a flypast of several historic aircraft, just as the Red Arrows came into view leaving a trail of red, white and blue smoke behind them.

Televised footage shows a white object, which first appears to the right of the jets, moving at considerable speed across the smoke towards the left in a relatively straight line.

The object exhibits no discernible features and doesn't appear to be an aircraft.
It is also moving too quickly to be a drone.

The footage has generated quite a bit of interest online and left social media users speculating over what the mysterious object could be.

You can check out the video for yourself below.

The cockpit footage looks like a reflection within the cockpit and is not the object we’re seeing in the other footage. Still frame from the ground might be the object from the footage but obviously doesn’t give any indication it was fast moving. I’m sure it was captured from other angles, so feel free to post if you’ve seen others.  But this clip you’re referring to with the cockpit footage and still frame don’t show anything which suggest that the original footage wasn’t just a balloon/some other object plus parallax.

So many cameras , lights pointing at the sky at that moment in time. Light reflecting of the smoke? I wonder if anyone actually saw this object with their own eyes at the event.

I take it back. Ive watched it at other angles, its clearly an object

Fair enough.  I just think the coincidence of a reflection from the cockpit, a balloon from the helicopter and an unknown object from the ground that all show what appears to be a round object in the exact same position (i.e approximately over the river thames next to the London eye) is too much. At the moment that is 3 angles all showing a the same thing, all with different explanations   What if another angle comes to light showing round object in the same location? Would that be enough to convince you that it was the same object, rather than a coincidence?

Well although both pieces of footage show the jets moving southerly over the Thames in the vicinity of Jubilee gardens; I still think the reflection is unrelated. The image taken from the ground might show the same object. But yes, if there was footage from another angle of the same object then it should be pretty easy to work out if it was moving quickly or relatively static.

Hi all, Very true that airports have been closed due to alleged drone sightings. However, whenever commercial or privately - can't comment on military capabilities obviously - operated drones actually are present in many or even most of these cases is a different matter altogether. The commercial aviation sector has become somewhat conditioned to encourage aircrews to report drones near their aircraft without a great understanding of drone capabilities and especially their limitations. The 2018 case at Gatwick here in the UK is the classic example of panicked officialdom and shows that even in... [More]

The drone capabilities/limitations have no impact on the importance of them flitting around airports at all. Any object flying near an airport, be it a bird or a drone is a risk. How do you know no drone was around? Just because they didn’t find it doesn’t mean it wasn’t there. I’d rather trust the pilots that actually spotted it.    Mass hysteria? Oh, good grief.  So Gary, even though you claim to be a drone operator, you come across as knowing very little of them.
