The UFO Phenomenon

Scientists weigh in on claims of 'phantom' UFOs over Ukraine

Last month Ukranian researchers claimed to have observed large numbers of UFOs in the skies over the country.
The original study, which was conducted by astronomers from the Main Astronomical Observatory (MAO) of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, used two meteor stations situated in Kyiv and Vinarivka village to scour the heavens for anything strange or unusual.

According to reports that surfaced back in September, strange and unusual things are exactly what the researchers found - large numbers of them, in fact.

The paper's authors described two categories of UAP - "cosmics" (which are very luminous objects brighter than the sky) and "phantoms" (very dark objects that appear black against the sky).

These objects were detected numerous times, often in groups of several at a time.

The researchers also recorded some of them moving at considerable speeds.
While these revelations caused quite a stir at the time, other scientists have since moved to play down the significance of these claims and to argue that the sightings were not at all what they seemed.

An investigation by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU), for example, concluded that the findings "did not meet the professional requirements for publication of the results of scientific research."

"The processing and interpretation of results were performed at an inappropriate scientific level and with significant errors in determining distances to the observed objects," the panel wrote.

Harvard University astrophysicist Avi Loeb had similar criticisms.

He maintains that the researchers had incorrectly estimated the distances involved - possibly by as much as ten times - suggesting that they may have simply been observing artillery shells.

"If you bring it even closer, it could be insects - like a fly moving at a high speed near the telescope, and it would appear dark," he said.

I am going to guess you didn't read the report where there were multiple photos taken of UAPs and shown. But due to the height of the objects they are only dots and unidentifiable shapes.

I would guess more that they are American than Chinese. China is trying to be quite neutral/diplomatic when it comes to what is happening. They don't want to destroy trade relations with neither Russia, the west, nor Ukraine. The US, who like most of the world is on the Ukrainian side, has more reasons to be there, to study what the Russians are doing.

I have stated several times that when there is a war on the US takes the strategy of stirring up debate about UFOs, with a few leaked videos showing strange objects. It seems that Ukraine is onboard with this. What it is about is to give their opponents the impression they have some secret toys. Unfortunately, with the speeds involved with the alleged UFOs it puts them in excess of Mach 40. Unless that`s in space then we lack the materials to do that in atmosphere for anything but a few minutes. In essence, the aircraft would melt very fast.

There is a long history of UFOs around nuclear sites and nuclear weapons. I can't help but notice the UFOs increased after the attacks on the nuclear power plants. The aliens are protecting us from nuclear fallout. Once again. If it were not for aliens I feel a nuclear war would have already happened.

Funny that no one can take photos of these endless UFOs around nuclear sites. Remember when the aliens stopped that nuclear war? I don't either.

Starlink... Elon Musk has alluded to this, and wants the Pentagon to take-over operation costs. Those sighted are not UFO's. They're multiple Starlink mini-satellites.

In the past that was understandable BUT now everyone is carrying a phone that takes great pictures. It seems that a lot of people LIVE with the phone in their hand or stuck on their ear. There should be more great pictures.

If I was an alien I'd want to check it out. Wouldn't you?

I saw one once several years ago.  I didn't know what it was.  The only thing I could think of was maybe some kind of convoy.  So my mind went from Convoy of airplanes to...omg...are we at war?  Nope...just Elon Musks Satellites...really strange experience.
