Do these images show a UFO being shot down over the US in early 2023?

Alleged image of a UFO being shot down.
Does this image show a UFO just prior to being shot down ? Image Credit: Email Submission
[Updated] An anonymous submitter has sent us photographs showing an alleged UFO being downed by US fighter jets.
Back in early 2023, there was a spate of incidents involving unidentified objects being sighted (and subsequently shot down) in and around the United States.

The first, which was described as a 'Chinese spy balloon', was downed on February 4th.

Then, over the following weeks, three more objects of unknown nature and origins were downed over Alaska, Canada and the Great Lakes.

Exactly what these objects were has remained a topic of heated debate, but now an anonymous submitter has contacted us with a series of photographs allegedly showing one of these objects being shot down.

They wrote:

"I'm sure you understand, I am unable to give you any specific details regarding the information above, all of this information is still highly classified.

Have you ever asked yourself this ?

Has anyone ever seen any proof of these "so called balloons" that were allegedly shot down, any photographs or any actual physical evidence of any of the recovered remains of these objects?

You know, "The Power Of Suggestion" is a very powerful thing.

"Just tell them it was a weather balloon or a spy balloon, or some other type of mundane man-made object, and deny everything."
You would be very surprised how gullible some people are, especially the general public.

The images I have sent you were taken at some point between FEB. 4 and FEB. 12 2023 at one of the above locations, the images were taken at a high altitude, that is all I am able to tell you.

As you can clearly see, the UFO pictured is NOT a small man-made object, neither is it any type of balloon. This UFO was a large metallic saucer shaped object, actually bigger than the military aircraft also pictured. It was an an object of unknown origin and under intelligent control. This object was shot down, as clearly seen in 2 of the images and later recovered by the military, it was then transported to, well let's just say a certain "AREA" for extensive analysis and research purposes.

I could also tell you that 2 E.B.Es (Extraterrestrial Biological Entities) were also recovered by the military, but who would believe such a tale? No, this whole incident was simply nothing more than a few balloons!

I will leave it to your discretion whether you decide to publish this information or not?"

The images that were sent to us are included below.

FACTUAL ANALYSIS: CONFIRMED HOAX

Thanks to forum members Ratbiter, L.A.T.1961 and Pericynthion for confirming that these images are in fact modified screenshots from the first episode of Gerry Anderson's 1970 TV series 'UFO'.

In other words - this entire submission is a hoax.

Right, it is very dissapointing to know that is exactly how "we" would respond just to recover those things. I hope they at least knew what they were dealing with first. That event coupled with the "chinese spy balloon" happening right before was seems like such a staged narrative. Also it was beyond incredible that they had the audacity to shoot things down in broad daylight and claim that no wreckage could be found. At any of the sites. None? They watched it go down. Don't tell me we spend as much as we do on military and they cant handle figuring out where anything went ? If that isn't fro... [More]

That's quite possible - if anyone is able to confirm that it's from this (or any other TV show/movie) let me know and I'll update the article.

I do own the box set of all episodes and without going through all the programs and looking for a match I think it's very likely to be a screen shot from the Gerry Anderson tv series UFO.  The other object looks like the Skydiver submarine interceptor.

Ratbiter and L.A.T.1961 are correct.  These are screenshots from "UFO."  Specifically, episode 1, "Identified."  The first shot shows a UFO approaching the SHADO supersonic transport Seagull X-ray.  The second two shots show the UFO being hit by a missile from Sky One.  Love this show!

Simply put, the Vimanas of the Kingdom of Aghartha are not welcome in US airspace unless they have lodged a flight plan and had it approved by the FAA.

Big thanks to @Ratbiter, @L.A.T.1961 and @Pericynthion for solving this one - looks like this is indeed a hoax. I've updated the article to include this new information.

Are quotes are 'Chinese spy balloon' necessary?

So, they shoot UFO's without hesitation but chinese spy balloons are left unbothered for a while?

Good work, @Saru and 3 posters. Just as an aside, I knew the guy was hoaxing by the way he was talking, which he did a lot of, for an anonymous person.
