US defense contractor describes seven-minute UFO encounter

Image: AI-generated (Midjourney) The incident, which occurred on August 28th, 2013, was recently relayed by UFO investigator Robert Powell who had personally investigated the case and had spoken to the witness who wished to remain anonymous due to the sensitive nature of his work.

The sighting began at around 9:40 in the evening when the contractor, along with two other passengers, had been returning from a bear hunting trip in the wilderness.

"We were roughly four-and-a-half or five miles from the main road, when I noted something over my shoulder," the contractor recalled.

"The very first thing that was intense was just how bright this thing was."

"It was spectacular. Having been involved with optical systems in the past, we're talking about a vehicle that looked like a stadium lighting scenario - it was brilliant."

He described the object itself as barbell-shaped, measuring 170ft in length and 60ft wide."The craft rotated slowly around its center while emitting an electrical-spark-like shower, always opposite of the direction of travel," he said.

The group attempted to film the object but their camera equipment inexplicably malfunctioned.

"[The light] was salty to my eyes," the contractor added. "It was just as if I was looking into a laser that had been passed through a diffraction grating or something of that nature."

After about six or seven minutes, a second object appeared and both craft zipped off into the distance at an extreme speed.

Interestingly, footage that the contractor had attempted to record, which ended up showing nothing but static, did yield some anomalous readings when analyzed in a lab.

These suggested that the object was producing a magnetic field capable of disrupting electronics.

Exactly what the object could have been, however, remains a complete mystery.
