Scotland might be home to the world's most famous cryptid, but what do people from the UK think about it?
If you stroll along the shoreline of Loch Ness in the summer, you are sure to find a great number of tourists who have come from all over the world for a chance to catch a glimpse of the elusive monster.
British people themselves, however, are not quite so enthusiastic.
According to a new YouGov survey, only 3% of those who live in the UK believe that the monster definitely exists, while a further 9% think that it probably does.
By contrast, a whopping 52% think that Nessie definitely doesn't exist.
The survey also looked at some other phenomena as well, including ghosts - with 12% being certain that ghosts exist and 32% being certain that they don't.
Oddly, the second most convincing thing in the survey was 'witches with magic powers', with 6% remaining adamant that they definitely exist and 53% being adamant that they don't.
While 3% also believe that werewolves and vampires definitely exist, these also saw the largest percentage of doubters with around 70% of respondents maintaining that neither are real.
