Volunteers flock to space experiment

6000 applicants from over 40 countries have signed up for a chance to take part in an experiment designed to see how humans could cope with being stuck in a confined space for the duration of a manned trip to Mars. The chosen few will have to endure the claustrophobic conditions for three months with scientists observing their every move.
What would you be prepared to do for money? For $6,500 (£4,500) a month, to be precise? How about the following: locking yourself inside a small metal container for three months without any communication with the outside world, with electronic monitors attached to various parts of your body and with frozen baby food and cereal bars for breakfast, lunch and dinner? "

Wow. I would do it. It depends if I could bring some books along then I should be fine. But if they have nothing to do that even resembles recreational activities than I would lose my mind.

I with you, I would do it if I could bring sudoku puzzles and books. I would do it FOR NO PAY if they would send me out into space with just a tiny little window so I could keep my eyes open for UFOs. I would do a lot of things to see space first hand.

I dunno...I know it's a little late for this discussion, but I'm still not sure about space travel. We haven't even explored our entire planet. Why are going out into space to explore other planets?

Excercise would be important hmm, this could end badly. LOL, little excise, small room, TV, fridge, and mostly computer work, six healthy volunteers, months later, six morbidly obese volunteers exist.
