Japanese students have invented a device that can be used to communicate a kiss over the internet.
Resembling a box with a drinking straw the device simulates the sensation of a kiss through the use of motor rotations. The device can even store a particular kiss and play it back - one potential use envisaged by its creators for such a system would be to record the kiss of a popular celebrity and then sell it to their fans.
Students at Japan's Kajimoto Laboratory at the University of Electro-Communications have created a small device that uses motor rotations with the aim to simulate the feeling of a kiss over the Internet.
