Thieves in Germany steal 20 tons of chocolate

The unusual heist saw a trailer loaded with confectionery being driven away in the town of Neustadt.
Among the stacks of cocoa-based produce illegally procured during the incident were hundreds of jars of chocolate-hazelnut spread Nutella and several crates of Kinder Surprise eggs.

Combined, the stolen goods were worth a total of around 50,000 euros.

Exactly how or why the thieves targeted this particular cargo remains unclear, however police investigators believe they must have used a separate truck to tow the trailer away.

What exactly they intend to do with all that chocolate also remains something of a mystery.

"Anyone offered large quantities (of chocolate) via unconventional channels should report it to the police immediately," said a spokesman.

The theft follows that of a truck full of fruit juice that was also stolen in Germany over the weekend.

The thieves will be the ones walking around with that circle of chocolate encrusted around their mouths.

An all points bulletin to dermatologists should help to identify the culprits in the midst of massive acne outbreaks.

Another question s, if the trailers haven't been found, where are they being stored?  They'd have to be in some abandoned warehouse or building with a huge "garage" door.

Why does it have to be abandoned? And there are myriads of such buildings.

Whether the thieves had planned to steal the sweets or simply came across the loot remains unclear Maybe it's unclear to them. Lol. A chocolate lover understands that this must have been a plot.
