Communication with an orb

Last night, after turning off the lights in my house (currently empty of everything except the mattress and small suitcase and a phone charger) I walked past a mirror in front of the mattress and saw a small (think LED bulb sized) blue and white orb. The mirror is in the attached bathroom which is also 100% empty. So imagine a master bedroom and a regular doorway to the bathroom where the mirror is plainly visible immediately over the sink.

My first reaction was that my phone charger was somehow reflecting light into the mirror. Here are some key points: phone charger DOES glow but an almost yellow-green neon color; so very unlike what I was looking at in the mirror. Secondly, the charger was very close to the ground on a standard outlet in a wall not in direct line of sight to the mirror. I just want to state now: it was not the charger.

I sat down on the mattress on the floor and even though the angle was slightly worse, the orb was still visible. I got up and began to search for where this light could be coming from. I mean I checked EVERYTHING. The bathroom, the master bedroom, I even looked out all of the Windows for any similar light. There was nothing. When I went back to the mattress and sat down I decided to watch for a while. Then the orb began to move.

The movement here is what tipped me off that this was not a normal light source. It almost looked like it was floating as a bubble would (catching any slight breeze and hovering delicately.) There was no rhythm, no measurable consistency in its movement except that it stayed mostly in my direct line of sight only in the mirror. At this point I'm pretty convinced that I'm seeing something that wants to be seen. I decided, crazily, to begin to "talk" to it. Silently. As in, strictly in my own mind trying to communicate. I asked it to move left. It moved left. I asked it to move up, and it moved up. Seriously, not in straight lines but think of bubble movements again. For the next 10 minutes, when I asked this little blue and white orb to move, it followed my direction. So I wake up my boyfriend who is sleeping on the mattress. He sees the light and tells me, in his 75% asleep state, that it must be reflected from somewhere and goes back to sleep.

I refocus my attention on the orb. It is "hovering" or slowly moving in a circular motion or bobbing up and down. I again give it directions to move and it follows. So I decided to ask it questions of a sort. I ask (again silently in my head) to move up for yes, down for no, if I "know who you are". At this point the movement is very sharp and suddenly downwards. I ask if it is a ghost, and it sort of half bobs up then back down. I asked if it was an angel, or a fairy, and got the same sort of half bounce. My last question, and when I decided to end things was when I asked if I "should be afraid." It very abruptly shot upwards.

I told this little orb I was going to bed. It had stopped moving around the larger area and was again sort of bobbing or doing half circles about in the center. It didn't leave when I told it I was going to sleep. It stayed there hovering and I laid down and tried to sleep. I didn't get back up to check on if it was there, if it had gone. I never felt "afraid" until I asked if I should be. Mostly during this entire 30 minute period, I was in disbelief that this was happening. I knew it was happening and simultaneously knew that it could not be.

Talking to my boyfriend today, I cried recounting what I went through but again, not really out of fear. He remember the light, can describe it as I did, and that's comforting. If anyone can chime in on what the hell happened to me (speculation is fine) or direct me towards another similar thread I will be grateful. It hasn't been 24 hours but I'm coming to terms with the fact that this may be a personal experience that not many people will understand or believe, but it's still very fresh and talking about it will help me.
