Bizarre 'life form' caught on camera in Taiwan

Image: AI-generated (Bing AI / Dall-E 3) The organism, which was recorded by Huang Meilan in Hsinchu, Taiwan, appears to consist of a mass of black vine-like appendages that are able to move independently of one another.

In the video these can be seen undulating and wriggling around in a highly disconcerting manner.

"I found this on the ground and it caught my eye," said Huang. "It was so strange and people said different things about it. But I wanted to know what it actually was."

One possible explanation is that the 'creature' is actually a tangled up mass of horsehair worms.

Some Internet users have even taken to describing it as an "alien life form".
