What is this object and how is it staying stationary ? Image Credit: YouTube / jusdafide
A recently uploaded video clip shows a featureless spherical object hovering motionless in the sky.
The footage, which was filmed during an evening stroll through Tulare County by YouTube user 'jusdafide', was uploaded onto the video sharing site on February 2nd.
The anomalous object can be clearly seen hovering above some trees and houses in the distance, much to the puzzlement of the uploader whose voice can be heard throughout the clip.
"That is strange," he said. "That is so strange. That is really weird, there is, like, no strings or anything on it. It's just floating, I don't know what the heck... it's a perfect circle."
Sure enough, the object seems to remain entirely motionless despite not being tied to the ground.
Could it be some sort of balloon or airship or is there another explanation ?
The original video can be viewed below, a second shorter clip is also available - here.
I certainly also think it's a Balloon, but it may be one of those advertising Balloons at car dealership or something else. It just looks to low to a weather balloon to me. Peace
Wow. He moved slightly sideways and even took another short video, this time with plenty of digital zoom to blur it..... Sigh. Why the hell wouldn't you just take a short drive over to it, and get on the non-silhouetted side? To answer the question posed, namely "Could it be some sort of balloon or airship or is there another explanation ?" Seriously, that needed to be asked? Yes, yes and yes. But to start with the first - that's what tethered helium advertising balloons look like. Look EXACTLY like. And yes they'll blow around quite a bit in a light wind. I'm sorry but I jus... [More]
BTW, I was bored so I took a quick squiz at Google earth... Couldn't find the exact location, but I did find this, and it amused me as an almost-match... Palm trees, obviously....
Years ago there was an amateur UFO site where you could report UFOs and upload your blurry photographs of what you saw. One of the questions in the form was, "Could it have been a balloon?" Of course lots of people uploaded photos of balloons and answered, "No."
because those close to it know what it is, i'd say the person taking the footage also knows exactly what it is- just posts it on youtube & calls it a ufo, as usual
