Impossible phone call

Image Credit: Midjourney My girlfriend at the time worked opposite hours so she would call the house on her lunch and we would talk until she went back in.

One day as usual the phone rings and the caller I.D shows her name and cell number.

So I pick it up and it's her but she sounds weird - very depressed or maybe emotionless....just weird.

We had a very brief conversation, I asked her whats wrong she said 'fine'. I told her she sounds off she said...'I'm fine'.... Later after she clocked out she came home.

She apologized for leaving her cell behind in the room. I was speechless for a second went in our room and sure enough plugged in sitting on the floor was her cell phone.

She never took it to work and I was the only one home all day that day. She was happy she was in a great mood and what freaked me out more was we lived in the back country bad reception, down in the woods just about.

To this day I've never heard of another account like it but I'd love to.
