An unidentified witness reported seeing a 'silent camouflage aircraft' over the town a few weeks ago.
The encounter, which only lasted around two minutes, occurred at 9pm on March 28th.

"Every night around that time I take my dog for a walk," the witness wrote. "I take him to on the train tracks down the road and I usually stare at stars and satellites."

"About 15 minutes in, I noticed something that looked like a faint letter 8 horizontally with no sound or visible light. As it moved from northwest to east at a steady pace, it appeared to bend the light of the stars as it moved."
The sighting is not the only UFO to be reported over the Orangeville area in recent years.

The MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) archives also include a report from October 2010 involving a person who observed a UFO being pursued by a military aircraft near the town.

A "large glowing object" was also sighted in August 2015 for a period of approximately ten minutes.
