2,400 year-old soup unearthed in China

Liquid found inside an ancient bronze cooking pot is believed to be a sample of 2,400 year-old soup.
The find was made near the ancient capital of Xian in a tomb that was being excavated to make room for an airport extension. Tests are underway in an effort to determine what ingredients might have been used in the soup.
Chinese archaeologists have unearthed what they believe is a 2,400-year-old pot of soup, state media report. The liquid and bones were in a sealed bronze cooking vessel dug up near the ancient capital of Xian - home to the country's famed terracotta warriors.
