Burger designed to taste like human flesh

Would you be brave enough to try the 'flesh burger' ? Image Credit: sxc.hu
A london pop-up venture is offering consumers a chance to sample burgers with a rather unique taste.
Adventurous diners will have the opportunity to sample the unappetizingly titled "human flesh burger" as part of a one-time promotion to mark the launch of the fifth season of popular zombie-based TV series The Walking Dead.

The burgers were concocted through a collaboration between chef James Tomlinson of London Mess and macabre "freelance creative" food designer Miss Cakehead.
Rather than resorting to cannibalism themselves, the pair based the taste of their burgers on descriptions provided by real-life cannibals such as explorer William Seabrook who likened the taste of human flesh to "good, fully developed veal, not young, but not yet beef".

The finished product, which will contain pork, veal, chicken liver and bone marrow, will be available for members of the public to taste in East London on September 30th.

Quick question. How in the hell do they know what Human Beings taste like? I understand the curiosity aspect of this, but who's doing the taste testing to make sure the burgers and humans taste just right?

Ok. Will be wee bit gross here. Seen pics of dead bodies not in whole form. The "flesh" did look similar to red meat people are eating. I am a pescetarian by the way.

Well nobody seems to complain the way we treat animals we eat... Never heard of organic butchers? Free range eggs? Animal Charities? it'd be quite a good thing for environment if cannibalism became mainstream, less factory farmed meat, No it would be a sick thing to do. Eating Kangaroo is good for the environment, and it tastes like crap. less humans doing dirt on planet... Only sick people would eat it, so the impact would be minimal. but you just have to get stuck with the semantics! I'm like that.

Has anyone else here read "A Modest Proposal" by Jonathan Swift?

I did, in one of my high school Lit classes it was required reading, it's been some time, but I really thought it was clever and darkly funny.

I think it was more about analyzing and thinking critically. It was an AP course, so it got me college credits. Once upon a time I wanted to be an English professor so I was all 'bout it.
