Burger designed to taste like human flesh

Image: AI-generated (Midjourney) Adventurous diners will have the opportunity to sample the unappetizingly titled "human flesh burger" as part of a one-time promotion to mark the launch of the fifth season of popular zombie-based TV series The Walking Dead.

The burgers were concocted through a collaboration between chef James Tomlinson of London Mess and macabre "freelance creative" food designer Miss Cakehead.Rather than resorting to cannibalism themselves, the pair based the taste of their burgers on descriptions provided by real-life cannibals such as explorer William Seabrook who likened the taste of human flesh to "good, fully developed veal, not young, but not yet beef".

The finished product, which will contain pork, veal, chicken liver and bone marrow, will be available for members of the public to taste in East London on September 30th.
