Boy recalls memories of past life as a Marine

A four-year-old from Virginia claims to possess memories of his life as a Marine who died in 1983.
Andrew Lucas came out with the startling revelation when he told his parents that not only did he remember being a Marine but that his past life had ended when he died in a fire.

The family would go on to be featured on the TV series 'Ghost Inside My Child' which aims to investigate similar cases of children who seem to be able to recall vivid memories of a past incarnation.

Lucas was able to remember specific details about his life in the military including his apparent name, Sgt. Val Lewis, who records show died in a bomb explosion in Beirut on October 23 1983, the same year that the boy had said that he had perished in a fire.
In one case his parents showed him a photograph of several other Marines who would have served alongside Sgt Lewis and Lucas appeared to recognize them as his friends.

While his claims are intriguing they have also been met with a certain degree of skepticism. Like in other alleged cases of reincarnation it isn't clear exactly whether the boy really is recalling his past life or if he has somehow picked up what he knows from another source .

There is also the problem that as the investigation deepened Lucas may have simply been going along with what was suggested to him as oppose to offering new information independently.

Whether he really is the reincarnation of Sgt. Lewis is something we will likely never know for sure.

These are exactly like some of the small things I observed in my daughter. Her retained memories started evidencing themselves at about the age of seven. I posted earlier that I tried to never question her specifically, just listen. However, I would find myself discussing things that she brought up without realizing I was talking to a seven year old or observing her in conversations with others regarding topics and things there were not in anyway a part of her current reality or frame of knowledge such as you son's car. Her memories were of WWII. The specific horror she would repeatedly expres... [More]

Very interesting comments, especially about your daughter's knowledge of things which she would know absolutely nothing about. Like your daughter my son seemed to gradually take on his own persona around his 20's and the links to the deceased person seemed to fade. The peak seemed to be when he was around 17 to 24 years old. The Vauxhall cars, after owning four in succession if I remember correctly, suddenly stopped and the gold tooth has never been mentioned again. Your daughter's experience was certainly disturbing for you and your family. You must have had, like the vast majority of people,... [More]

I have no trouble believing the boy. The University of Virginia has a professor and department that deals with reincarnation cases, and I think they have more cases than they can handle. Talbot deals with this phenomenon in his book The Holographic Universe. I think it is possible.

Have read just about every reincarnation books there are and all the episodes of Ghost Within My Child and it does make you wonder, if its memory cells in the body that are pasted down from generations to generations , or is it really a spirit that does come back.We do have organ transplants that claim they have that person`s memories. http://www.dailymail...human-soul.html To add there are those cases where a person is close to death and their whole life flashes before them, like a rewind and then those that claimed to see into the Akashic records where everything that ever happen flashes bef... To add there are those cases where a person is close to death and their whole life flashes before them, like a rewind and then those that claimed to see into the Akashic records where everything that ever happen flashes before them. So could there be something in a memory cell in the body? I understand exactly what you are saying now. IMHO I actually have come to believe what you are talking about might be two separate things. I have come to believe both of those things exist. Now back when Kate was going through the issues we have discussed I wasn't really into these kind of studies or though... [More]

I understand exactly what you are saying now. IMHO I actually have come to believe what you are talking about might be two separate things. I have come to believe both of those things exist. Now back when Kate was going through the issues we have discussed I wasn't really into these kind of studies or thoughts on the paranormal. Another reason why I know I wasn't guilty of planting any of that type of stuff in her mind. Nothing on this kind of thing was ever discussed in our home. Since then being so much older now, I have come to pay attention to things I have heard people say. One of my neig... [More]

I've had similar experiences to the two of you. I've always been a woodworker. My first toys were a hammer and nails and a few scraps of wood. The only other woodworker in the family was my maternal grandmother and I think maybe another relative of hers. My dad didn't know which end of the screwdriver to grab. I never had a lesson but I was buying my own power tools since the age of 12. I recently re-inherited a small jewelry box I made for my grandmother when I was 13. I'm in my 60's now and while I've gotten more careful and more patient I can't say I've gotten much better. Whatever skill I ... [More]

Time per se does not exist. The past, the present and the future are all existing at the same moment. What separates the past from the present and future is just how many times the magnetic planet we are on has revolved, while transiting around the solar energy, as the uni-verse cycles through the void of galactic space. The eternal combined frequency cycles (humanity) exists perpetually as the present becomes the past and the future becomes the present. People are born and die and the frequency cycles called souls are continually exchanged and reused. We are actually all beings of energy each... [More]

I never believe in reincarnation but looking into Buddhism has really opened up my eyes. It's said that all the previous Dalai Lamas have been reincarnated and with actual documentaries about it, i was left speecheless. But in this case, you just never know
