It had been only around 30 minutes since the plane had taken off when they noticed a strange, extremely bright object moving around freely in the night sky outside the plane.
"This is my experience of seeing something strange or UFO," said Captain Ruud Van Pangemanan who uploaded the footage to his YouTube channel.
"What we see is still a mystery. Before that, we thought it was a light plane but it wasn't on our radar."
"We thought maybe it was a star but the stars didn't move."
"The UFO light shone for a long time and moved."
Fortunately, the flight continued without incident, but their encounter still remains unexplained.

Could this be evidence of an alien visitor or is there a more conventional explanation ?

Video captures airline pilots' encounter with UFO during flight

The footage shows unexplained lights moving in the night sky through the side window of the cockpit.
The incident, which was filmed from the cockpit of a Boeing 747 during a routine flight from Saudi Arabia to Nigeria, left both pilots of the airliner scratching their heads.It had been only around 30 minutes since the plane had taken off when they noticed a strange, extremely bright object moving around freely in the night sky outside the plane.
