'Lost City of the Monkey God' to be excavated

Authorities have announced an excavation of the mysterious lost city following its discovery last year.
Nestled deep within the dense jungles of Honduras, the Lost City of the Monkey God was said to have been home to a deity who fathered half-human, half-monkey children hundreds of years ago.

Explorer Theodor Morde had hinted at its discovery back in the 1940s but ended up taking its precise whereabouts to the grave after committing suicide before revealing its location.
Now however, more than 75 years later, the site of the enigmatic city has finally been found and archaeologists are preparing to begin an excavation of the area in an effort to reveal its secrets.

Initial investigations have already uncovered a cache of stone sculptures along with a variety of artifacts including finely carved vessels and the head of a figurine thought to be a "were-jaguar".

Despite living very near to the Maya civilization, very little is actually known about this mysterious and long lost culture. Scarcely studied, the people who lived in this forgotten city have never even been given a name and nobody knows why they disappeared.

And the connection would be what???? Cheers, Badeskov If we started saying people need to make clear, logical connections between things, we'd have to close this site down from lack of traffic. The only possible worse thing we could do is point out that internet "research" is a virtually a oxymoron. --Jaylemurph
