The Six Flags theme park in St. Louis is offering a $300 prize in exchange for spending 30 hours inside a coffin.
It's one of many people's worst nightmares, yet at least six brave souls will be attempting to spend more than a day trapped inside a coffin as part of a bizarre new stunt at a theme park in Missouri.

Known as the "Coffin Challenge", the competition will see each participant sealed inside a wooden box measuring a mere 2ft by 7ft from 1pm on October 13th to 7pm on October 14th.

They will be permitted a short bathroom break every hour and will also be served free meals inside their temporary accommodations.
If they leave at any other time during the challenge however they will be immediately disqualified.

With $300 up for grabs, it remains to be seen whether any of them will be able to last the distance.

Update: The challenge has proven so popular that it has now been rolled out to other parks as well.

And it could be a lot less than minimum wage. From the OP;  "The winner will also be entered in a drawing for a $300 prize" Gotta read the small print!

I'm sure you can have an insect or two.  Anyone remember the old song.. "Did you ever think when a Hearst went by, the you may be the next to Die!"  If they play that in the background, I'd bet no one would stay in the full 30 hours.

Not only do you risk losing, but the $300 is based on a raffle ticket given to the winners. They already have 28k+ entries. Hype has made people gone mental, they have no respect for themselves. They offer food and drinks and a 6 minute break every hour, gonna laugh if they gonna slip some laxatives to reduce the amount of players there to get free food.

If it was nearby, I'd take it. Finally a chance for a good night's rest.

I saw the ad on my Facebook page. I'd totally do it if I lived closer. $300 bucks wouldn't even cover my trip out there.

The 300 bucks is just extra cream here... the real prize is all those pass packages. That's worth a few hundred bucks in itself. Six Flags aint cheap- it can cost 20-30 bucks for parking depending on the kind of parking you choose, season passes are 60-80 bucks a head depending on the time of year and deal you can get. Fright fest passes start at around 70 bucks a head, a regular haunted house pass can start at around 30 bucks a head- and the freak ride is a few bucks too, but couldn't find how much. For folks that really like to go to Six Flags and Frightfest, it's quite the prize package. 30... [More]

Why is that? It sounds like a fun challenge that I would gladly partake in.   2 2019 Gold season passes seems like a legit prize.   Heck, I would sleep most of it and just daydream the rest.   at worst, you are only 54 minutes away from the next break.

Season passes are garbage unless you have days off on weekdays or get a flashpass with it.
