8-year-old steals parents' car twice in one week

Fortunately nobody was injured as a result of the boy's antics. Image Credit: sxc.hu The boy, who lives in Soest, first took the Volkswagen Golf for a spin in the early hours of Wednesday morning and was later spotted driving at 87mph along a motorway.

He was eventually apprehended after stopping at the side of the road with his hazard lights on.

Even a 'stern talking-to' from his mother didn't seem to have dissuaded his driving obsession however as a mere two days later he did exactly the same thing again.This time though he wasn't quite so fortunate and ended up crashing the car after driving 31 miles to the nearby city of Dortmund at speeds of up to 110mph.

Luckily nobody was injured, however the car was badly damaged.

The boy, who has a lot of experience driving go-karts, will now receive psychological counselling.
