Marfa Lights

Mysterious light phenomenon that has been witnessed in and around the Mitchell Flats, just outside of Marfa, West Texas. Descriptions of the phenomenon given by witnesses tend to vary and range from small dancing lights in the sky to a single, stationary bright light that rapdily changes colour. It has been suggested that the Marfa Lights are some form of UFO activity however others are more skeptical, blaming swamp gas and other similarly mundane phenomena for their appearance.

The Marfa lights have become a popular tourist attraction, a platform was built from which visitors can stand and observe the skies in an effort to catch a glimpse of these mysterious luminations.
