Pigeon makes its nest inside woman's kitchen

The uninvited guest turned out to be a pigeon. Image Credit: CC BY-SA 2.5 DemonTraitor The 33-year-old immigration lawyer had arrived back in her Brooklyn apartment after being away for several months when she made the unexpected discovery.

The pigeon, having taken advantage of the slightly ajar window, had not only entered the building but had even built a nest inside a spaghetti strainer that was sitting on one of the kitchen shelves.

Rather than getting rid of the intruder however, Roman decided to leave the bird where it was.

"I know it's crazy," she said. "But she's been very low-impact so far. She doesn't wander around my apartment pooping - there's no bird poop anywhere. She just sits on the eggs."
