An unknown object was spotted in a very brief clip recorded during the Memorial Day weekend activities.
The sighting, which was reported to the National UFO Reporting Center, occurred during an air show featuring the Blue Angels - the US Navy's famous flight demonstration squadron.

The object itself made a brief appearance in footage of a Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet.

"From stated location above, looking very high in the sky - approximately 36,500 to 41,000 ft high," the report reads. "Looking Westward from my location, Tracking it going North by Northwest, by eye."

"Going very fast for a craft that high. No trails seen. Vividly tracked it visually for about 9 seconds."
"Then, saw it take an immediate and distinct 90 degree turn downward to about 18,000 feet within two to maybe 3 seconds. Distinctly able to follow it visually to that level when it simply disappeared."

Sadly, the video clip only offers a very fleeting glimpse of the object.

Given its alleged speed and maneuverability, it seems unlikely that it was a drone, leaving a big question mark over exactly what it could have been.

You can check out the footage for yourself below - what do you think the object was ?
