Rats from around the country gathered in New York for an unusual event - a rodent fashion show.
"The rats look very cute and seem to like wearing them. Rats are very popular these days and the owners love to dress them up," says Ada, one of the designers. Her work includes miniature wedding dresses, tuxedos and bridesmaids gowns all created especially for the pint sized rodents.
First there was doggy dresses, and coats for mini pigs, now trendy pet owners are ordering designer clothing for their rats. Pet fashionista Ada Nieves is selling rat tuxedos, wedding dresses and bridesmaids gowns among other exclusive designs.

while this is well meaning; i currently own rats and have for a while and they chew anything they can get their paws on so they would have to design it in such a way a rat could not get off and chew at it. though im not the sort to dress my animals up in clothing.

Yup it is illegal to have a rat in Alberta. We have to keep the province rat free you know. Rats are illegal in Canada?.....wow.......we could make millions in the black market....

Rats are illegal in Canada?.....wow.......we could make millions in the black market.... Don't get caught. A girl from B.C. brought a rat into Alberta a few years ago and it ended in a shoot out. Kidding, she was forced to take it back to B.C. Now smuggled rats on the black market might result in a shoot out lol

Fashion is stupid IMO. A waste of time. I'd understand if you're just expressing yourself, but they're just making followers feel as if they should do what's "in". Well, whatever floats your boat I suppose. I have no right to diss something I know so little about.

Seeing this articles, realizing the stupidity of the "rat outfits" buyers, I would gladly welcome harold camping's prediction, wipe out the planet.

Yet politicians are allowed.. aren't they so sort of a rat under-species? Yes they are and they are everywhere. I think they are one of the planets bigest plague and yet they wear fancy clothes and drive around...

Yet politicians are allowed.. aren't they so sort of a rat under-species? Alberta politicians fall under the "Redneck-Cowboy-wannabe" species. It's not all that much different than rats, aside from the diet consisting more from red meat and terrible environmental policies.
