Authorities in northern Austria have been investigating multiple sightings of a rogue kangaroo this week.
The lost marsupial, which is more than 8,000 miles from its home country of Australia, has been sighted bounding around in the forests and fields near to the town of Kirchschlag.
"It sounds unbelievable, but it's true," said one police officer. "We have called all the zoos and kangaroo breeders around us, but no-one is missing a kangaroo."
"We hope the owner will come forward."
In Austria, an animal like a kangaroo requires a special permit to keep, meaning that authorities are treating this one in the same way as they might treat a stray dog.
Actually catching it however has so far proven to be easier said than done.
