Germany's Wacken hard rock festival is set to use up so much beer that it is getting a dedicated pipeline.
One of the world's biggest heavy metal events, the festival is famous for its beer consumption with each of its 75,000 attendees typically downing an average of 5.1 liters of alcohol.
This year the event's organizers have decided to spare no expense by installing an entire beer pipeline capable of transporting thousands of liters of the beverage over a distance of four miles.
Once completed, it will be capable of pouring one glass of beer every second.
According to the organizers, the installation of the pipeline will make the festival more sustainable and cost-effective while also being more environmentally friendly as well.
The event, which this year will feature 150 bands, is set to take place at the beginning of August.
10 pints a day average per person and you know there's tons of lightweights like me bringing that curve waaay down. By pint 3-4 I'm looking for a place to nap!
